Itinerary
Your weekend starts with a leisurely two hour cruise departing from Auckland at 6pm Friday evening, arriving at Coromandel at 8pm where you are met and transferred to Wairua Lodge on the Eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsular, surrounded by lush native bush. Please note that during the winter season, the Friday night ferry service is replaced by a shuttle bus which takes approximately one hour longer.
Wairua is a purpose built lodge with separate accommodation, it sits on a sunny ridge in a 5 hectare bush clad valley 12km from Whitianga .
The Lodge grounds provide a gorgeous, relaxing setting and offer a range of activities including four swimming holes, nature trails, an outdoor spa pool and great bird watching. End the day with a soak for two in the amazing Treetop Bath house.
The package also includes return transfers during your stay from your accommodation into Whitianga township allowing you to experience more that the region has to offer.
On Sunday you will be dropped back into Coromandel town whereyou can enjoy a late lunch, or go to Driving Creek Railway before being transferred back to the ferry for a 4.30pm departure, bringing you back to Auckland around 6.30pm on Sunday evening.
