At 360 Discovery Cruises we LOVE kids and we want this to be your page!

Send us your stories and pictures about your day out with 360 Discovery and we will publish them here. Be sure to include your name, age and a contact phone number and please ask Mum or Dad first. Each month we will give away free stuff to the best picture/story about 360 Discovery.

360 Discovery has launched a NEW PROGRAMME just for kids

360 Discovery is keen to get students involved in Conservation at a hands-on level and believes getting out of the classroom and getting your hands dirty is a great start.

Stuff for Kids incorporates a range of activities for Years 1-6 classes with everything from word games to orienteering puzzlers. Students can try their hands at Morse code and pick-up some nifty nautical terms.

Motuihe Island

The BIG news of the programme is a Motuihe Island package of return ferry tickets and a Stuff for Kids activity pack which includes a cool compass pen on a lanyard... very handy for completing the activities.

Each school will be provided with rubbish bags to ensure they bring their rubbish back with them as well as picking up any rubbish that other island visitors may have inadvertently left behind.

Students will be encouraged to identify where rubbish may have come from and what might be the consequences of leaving it behind. Also, available are your own personal conservation Guides for the day, who will tailor the visit to your particular study needs.

Motuihe is free of animal pests and is home to several endangered bird species. Motuihe Island is the perfect place for your class to learn and develop sound environment values.

Tiritiri Matangi Island

Get your Students out of the classroom and up close and personal with one of the world’s most successful conservation projects – Tiritiri Matangi.

See some of New Zealand’s most endangered birds and rare wildlife in the open sanctuary. Guided walks provide expert commentary and lend context to both animal life and the historical and archaeological features of the island. These walks can also be tailored to cover conservation studies.

Why let the kids have all the fun!

This package is a must. Bring a picnic lunch and soak up the sun on some of the most beautiful beaches Tiri has to offer.
