Triathlon World Champs 2012
Thursday 4th OctoberThe World Triathlon will be taking place on Queens Wharf from Sunday 14th – Monday 22nd.
This means there will be intermittent road closures on Wednesday and Thursday for the following times:
Wednesday 16th October: 1330-1630
AND
Thursday 17th October: 1700-1800
Quay Street and other city central streets will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Labour Weekend).
Passengers wishing to use our vessels in Auckland on Labour Weekend will need to use the drop off area at the bottom of Albert Street.
There may also be parking restrictions and/or delays getting across Quay Street onto Princes Wharf for the entire time of the Triathlon, please keep this in mind on the day you are travelling to ensure you do not miss your sailing.
A full list of restrictions will be circulated once the draft plan has been provided and advisory signage will be up 48 hours before the event.
Public parking buildings within the course catchment are being visited and advised of event. Spectator maps will also show parking locations; Britomart, Arena, Fanshawe and Downtown car parks. The event website will have details on where spectators can park.
